About Dignity Hospice
Your Comfort
The decision to seek hospice care ultimately rests with the patient. However, their personal physician knows when comfort care and pain-management are appropriate instead of continuing with aggressive curative treatment. Hospice care benefits are covered in most instances for patients who have a life-limiting illness. The patient and his or her family are encouraged to discuss the need for hospice care with their physician, health care team, clergy and friends. Your Care The Dignity Hospice staff is made up of professionals specializing in end-of-life care. Our team includes doctors, nurses, patient care coordinators, social workers, spiritual counselors, bereavement counselors, administrators and office staff. Leading our team is our medical directors, Dr. Kathy Harvey and Dr. James Stollings. Your Dignity Once the hospice referral is made by your personal physician, then Dignity Hospice will assess your needs and recommend any equipment to ease in patient comfort. Needs are typically minimal at first and often increase as the disease progresses. Our staff will make home care as safe, clean and convenient as possible. |
