David Swims, OT

David Swims grew up in Chapmanville, WV. He graduated high school from Chapmanville and worked for a laser printer repair company where he met his wife and got married in 1998. Seven years later they had a beautiful baby girl. David spent several year working as a coal miner and became a drill and blast foreman. In 2009, David's wife's grandfather passed away in a nursing home; this was when David met an occupational therapist. After talking with the therapist, David decided to go back to school to become a certified occupational therapy assistant (COTA). He graduated from Mountain State University with an Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy. From there David came to work for Dignity Hospice & Home Health. He enjoys working with patients who have had a stroke or surgeries and watching them improve.
